Talkntalk Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I use TalkNTalk?
Simply dial the access number for the country you wish to dial. Enter your phone number including full international code when prompted for fantastic savings.

How do I sign up for your service?
There’s no need to sign up, no obligations, no contracts, no prepayments and NO HASSLE!

Why am I unable to dial certain access numbers?
The access numbers are listed for Eircom landlines. Other phone providers (e.g. Chorus) may not enable calls to the access number listed. You will need to call your relevant phone bill provider for further information.

Are there any administration, subscription or other ‘hidden’ costs?
No. All you pay is the low call rate to your country.

How much does a call to my country cost?
Each country is assigned an access number. This access number dictates the cost of your call. For example calls to Algeria, Egypt and Ghana are all obtained using the access number 1520 92 71 71 at a flat rate of 15 cents a minute at all times. A 5 minute call would cost you 75 cents, it’s that simple!

How are my calls billed?
Calls are charged by your existing phone provider, we do NOT charge you. The access number will appear on your phonebill. For example, if you made a 5 minute call to Algeria your bill will show access number 1520 92 71 71 for 5 minutes with a total cost of 75 cents. The number for Algeria will not appear on your phonebill.

I am a Chorus or NTL customer, can I still use TalkNTalk?
Of course but bear in mind all our rates are based on calls from an Eircom landline. Please check with you phone provider to ensure there are no surcharges involved for calling the access numbers.

When do call charges take effect?
Billing starts on connection to the access number and terminates at the end of the call. For this reason, be sure to hang up promptly if the destination number is engaged or otherwise unavailable.

TalkNTalk has overcharged me!
This is impossible. We do not charge you. Eircom (or your other phone provider) charges you for the call to the access number.

How do I contact customer services?
Call 0818 22 01 34 or send an e-mail to info@talkntalk.ie. We will answer/respond to all queries during regular office hours. (Mon-Fri 9am - 5.30pm)

When I ring someone abroad will they be charged for the call as well?
In the vast majority of cases, the person receiving a call will never be charged. Charges will apply if the person is using an Irish mobile which does not originate from that country (e.g. using an Irish mobile to receive calls whilst in France). These are more commonly referred to as roaming charges.

How much can I save using TalkNTalk instead of Eircom or my other phone provider?
This will depend on the country you call and at the time of day. We’re confident that you’ll make huge savings using TalkNTalk in place of your phone provider. We constantly review competitor rates to ensure we keep your call charges to a minimum.
